The Real Structure of the Universe in Religions

Introduction:

This website will discuss the possibilities of some particular subjects which have been in debate for decades and even centuries. Some of these subjects have been touched-on, researched and discussed by many over the years, and the majority of those ‘many’ have been either shunned, quieted, mocked or even threatened to carry on with their works on the subject of defining the structure of the universe. One particular approach which has had a bright hot spotlight staring it in the face is “Flat Earth”. We all might be aware of the existence of The Flat Earth movement, its collection of letters, documents, researches, works, presence in today's social media and correspondences and how its been viewed by what is called today Mainstream Science.

Discussions addressing Flat Earth (as a subject of its own) are usually heated up to exceed boiling point by the followers of Mainstream Science and its modern teachings. While the teachings of Mainstream Science don’t always veer off to a different path from reality – many of its findings apparently don’t abide with what human senses can pick up and what these senses inform us as mankind.

The main reason, according to statistics and general attention to debates, for the heightened tension of these discussions is the fact that not only does it go against what people’s senses experience when exposed to this physical world but also contradicts many fundamental teachings originating in holy texts and handed down to the people; mainly Christianity and Islam since these two religions share a common and similar perspective on the topic.

Modern day science, on the other hand, consists of three main branches being mathematics, chemistry and biology. It’s a collection of information and knowledge considered to be essential to the upbringing of all mankind today and in the recent past and has emerged from different origin points throughout history. One main origin point of today’s science is the historical term “Natural Philosophy”. This term described and gave meaning and reason to the natural causes and phenomena and its relation to the physical world. This was the main means to bring understanding to man and his relation with his surroundings. When the Greeks established contributions in astronomy, medicine and mathematics these contributions emerged from studying the world closely as they saw it; the same world which is not believed to be any different than the world we know today. These fields, being the basis of Natural Philosophy, have also been defined and emphasized by the Holy Bible (for the Christians) and the Holy Quran (for the Muslims).

To bring understanding and justification as to why we mention holy scripture in this topic we can take a broad view at how we can compare two streams of knowledge: one comes from the Greek Natural Philosophy and the other comes from Holy Scripture.

This comparison was a cause of great division since the teachings of the Greek usually resorted to placing Gods and Goddesses as being in charge of natural powers, occurrences and disasters; for causes and disasters which had no clear explanation by man. Holy text usually came with answers to subjects of great debate. For instance, scripture explained what the heavens above were made of and what they were like from a physical and materialistic stance. It gave moral meaning to rain and wind, and gave understanding to why floods and earthquakes occurred.

Religions, apparently hold their grounds and resist change and alterations to the text whereas Natural Philosophy obtained and adopted changes, omissions, alterations and updates over the centuries. People of holy text, despite the absence of updates to the text, believe that the text still held solid definitions of the world (and more) for which today’s cannot provide explanation. Simple examples of this are subjects such as “life” and “death”. Science has struggled and failed to provide a satisfying explanation for either subject while religion simply brought meaning to life in all of its forms and brought reason for death for whichever way it occurred.

Grave

Debates between science and scripture usually avoid subjects such as this, but do engage in other grounds like “the reason for wind” or “how rain is created”.

Followers of religions populate in numbers and become great masses. They also pass down the holy teachings through inheritance from one generation to the next. Teachings would be passed down through generations with the added value of “experience in scripture” and “unveiled new meanings of holy verses” and so these new masses were of great independent beliefs and understandings of the world, life, family, society, law, money, love, death….etc. These masses would establish a ruling power which came in the form of the book of all knowledge. A book which holds its own evidence of originating from the Divine and brings peace to mankind’s minds and spirits and breaks every aspect of life down to simple understandings. This produced, what certain groups saw as, an attitude against Science, or teachings which originated from sources other than scripture; regardless whether Science was imposed on them or not. Science was, and still is, considered teachings which came from respected figures of societies was being deterred, debated and in many cases rejected. This was due to a practice initiated by those who had the scripture and had knowledge of it. This practice was passing any other teachings across the holy text and testing it to see if it contradicted with any aspect of the teachings of the text or if it carried out results other than what the text provided or described. If a contradiction was to be witnessed the scientific teachings would simply be refuted and sent back to its sender. In fact, holy scripture warns its followers of adhering to deceivers who claim to have higher knowledge than the holy text itself. It also warns its followers and believers of giving ear or thought to non-followers who claim to have high knowledge other than what the holy text comes with. The scripture defines this knowledge as false, self-induced imaginations and even possibly is product of the devil; the latter being another great topic of debate between science and scripture.

This was not the end of the warnings by the holy texts as it also warned of teachings which aim to illustrate the divine as insignificant and in no touch or relation with creation - such as how modern day science advertises that ducks have webbed feet due to evolution and the duck’s ancestor’s dire need for webbed feet rather than giving credit to a master creator whom gave ducks webbed feet to enable paddling through water.

On the same note, Charles Darwin’s “The Scientific Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection” or “Evolution Theory” (as many call it for short) claims that today’s human spawned from apes, which themselves spawned through evolution from beings which originated millions and millions of years ago from single-celled organisms. This, despite being a theory and not a proven fact, goes well against the teachings of holy scripture as the latter explains that the first father of man was created from no origin. In other words, Adam, the father of all man, was created away from any ancestral link to any biological being and was an independent creation of God, and with Adam came Eve as his female counterpart. So the holy scripture denies man to be the result of evolution. The Theory of Evolution came to be passed in schools and universities initially as a story, then later as an idea, and finally to be imposed as a well-established basis planted by a highly revered scientist, philosopher and thinker. In fact, in today’s world, if one wishes to go against this theory, he/she has to be well prepared for a heightened debate where scientist supporting this theory have started to adopt fossils which hint towards proving that evolution certainly took place and is still in motion and that the ‘humanoid’ today is a part of its cycle and a result of it.

Our main subject, which we will touch on in details will be “Flat Earth”. This particular topic has been selected for its popularity, the size of the world which it involves, the number of people it could affect and the lives it could change. This topic will first be passed across holy text of both the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran to see how both books illustrate the world around us which will also help give a general picture and idea as to what to expect the truth might look like (or actually is).

Before we begin a Holy Scripture comparison it is important to tell the reader that regardless if he or she are a believer of all books, one of them or none, this research aims at showing just how much information is deposited and preserved in these texts and how logical and sensible the information is.
